Insurine.com, “Insurine”, “our,” “us,” or “we”) respects your privacy. We’ve created this privacy policy to help you understand what information we collect when you use our website and quote generators, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

By using the Website or the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the collection and use of information contemplated hereby. This is our entire and exclusive Privacy Policy and it supersedes any earlier version.

We may change this Privacy Policy by posting a new version of this Privacy Policy on our Website or through the Service, and it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. When we do change the policy, we will also revise the “Revised” date and may notify you or post a message on the Website and/or through the Service. Cookies and Data Security

Insurine adheres to the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles.  We install third-party tracking cookies to your web browser to understand how you use our website and for:

  • Tracking the effectiveness and improving the targeting of our marketing campaigns

  • Improving our website, content, and services

  • Collecting information to develop new services for our users

  • Customizing the user experience and interest-based advertising purposes

The data gained from these tracking cookies is Non-PII , such as location, what browser you’re using, and how you came to our site. We don’t record your name or any information that will tell us who you are.

The Information We Collect

To provide you with accurate quotes for your new zip code, we collect several types of information:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Name, date of birth, current and future residential addresses, email address, and phone number.

  • Driver & Vehicle Data: Driving history, claims history, and vehicle identification numbers (VIN).

  • Financial Information: Credit score range (to determine eligibility for specific rate tiers) and payment details if you choose to bind a policy through our platform.

  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and “moving intent” signals (cookies) to help customize your experience based on your destination state.

How We Collect This Information

We use different methods to collect personal information from and about you, including through:

  • Direct Interactions; such as when you enter your information on the website, correspond with us through email, or speak with one of your agents through the phone or in person. 

  • Third-Party Sources

  • Publicly Available Sources: We collect Personal Information from publicly available sources, including from public registers.

How We Use This Information

Except as otherwise explained in this policy, or in any applicable Terms of Service, we use the personal information and location based information we collect from you to support your relationship with Insurine and our services. Simply put,  we use it to help you quickly find and compare insurers and policies in your new state to facilitate your move. This may include one or more of the following tasks:

  • Quote Generation: Relaying your data to our network of 50+ insurance carriers to fetch real-time pricing.

  • Cross-Device Continuity: Allowing you to start a quote on your phone during a packing break and finish it on your laptop later.

  • State-Specific Compliance: Matching your profile against the legal requirements of your destination state (e.g., ensuring your New York policy meets Florida’s PIP requirements).

  • Communication: Sending you reminders about your move date and alerts if rates drop in your new area.

We also use information to perform data analyses (including market and consumer research, trend analysis, financial analysis, and anonymization of Personal Information), protect against, identify and prevent fraud and other criminal activity, claims and other liabilities, and comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards and our policies.

We may also use Location Based Information, as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you, to improve, market or promote our products (including without limitation to comply with applicable laws or regulations related to insurance) or to provide services or technologies to you. We may also sell or license Location Based Information regarding our users to third parties, including Service Providers, but not in a manner in which the recipient will be able to identify you personally.

You acknowledge that certain information or content that you provide in connection with the Service may inherently allow or help third parties to personally identify you.

How We Share Your Data

We may share your persoinal and location based information with third parties, including insurance carriers, agents and other insurance professionals, but only if we believe based upon your actions, such as when you fill out a form on the website, that you intend to interact with such parties through us.

If you choose to proceed with these third parties and share additional information with them, your interactions with the third party will be governed by the third party’s own privacy policy, not ours.

We do not sell your personal information to insurers or other third parties.

Unless you initiate a phone exchange with us, we will not contact you by phone, and we will never share with third parties any phone number(s) that you provide to us or that we receive from third parties.

In delivering services on behalf of Insurine, our agents or contractors may gain access to your personal and locaction based information. All such parties are asked to keep your information confidential and only use it for the purpose of delivering Insurine services or as otherwise required by law.

We may also share certain Personal Information or Location Based Information with service providers in order to facilitate the operation of our Service. We may also share personal  or location based information with service providers in order to allow them to use that information to obtain and provide us with additional information about you (including through the use of “prefill” services).

We may disclose your personal or location based information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  1. conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process;
  2. protect and defend the rights or property of Insurine or its agents or contractors; or
  3. act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.

Finally, if we ever file for bankruptcy, sell our assets, or merge with another organzation, we may share your information to facilitate the ocntinued delivery of our service.

How We Secure Your Data

Insurine.com has set up physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information  from unauthorized usage on shared computers in that users are required to log in through our applications.

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily share personal information through public-facing portals like e-mail or chat, that information can be collected and used by others. In short, by posting Personal Information online that is publicly accessible, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. We are not responsible for the security or privacy of any Personal Information you choose to submit in connection with these public features.

We may send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us in the event of a security breach. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing.

Regardless of which state you are moving from or to, Insurine offers high-standard privacy rights:
